Upon arrival in Hanoi, your tour guide and driver will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel for the check-in procedure.

Today, we will go sightseeing at the city’s outstanding historical and cultural sites, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside on Mondays and Fridays) and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Then visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, Single Pillar Pagoda, and Temple of Literature.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit one of the museums in Hanoi such as the Museum of History, Museum of Ethnology, Museum of Fine Art, and Hoa Lo Prison. Then, enjoy our welcome show of northern rural Vietnam – the Water Puppet Show.
Afterward, you will have time for your own dinner before the transfer railway station for the night train to Sapa.

Arrive at Lao Cai Train Station at about 6:00 am. You will meet the local guide at the main entrance and take our private car to Sapa 35km away.
Have breakfast and relax for a while. Then, take a short trek to Cat Cat and Shin Chai Village, the home of H’mong Ethnic. You can see the hydroelectric power station built by the French by the wonderful Cat Cat Waterfall.
Get back to the town by car in the afternoon for hotel check-in. Free time at our leisure.

Have breakfast at the hotel and today is for discovering nature as well as different cultures of hill tribal people.
From the hotel, we start our car drive up and down hills with rice terraces, and spectacular scenery of the Fansipan Mount and pass by the scenic Muong Hoa Valley.
For the trekking lovers, we will start the trekking from Y Linh Ho village (~11km trek in total) through the rice terraces, hills, bamboo forests, and streams to Lao Chai and Ta Van Villages which are decorated by terraced fields and the house of Hmong, Red Zao, and Zay people.
Return to Sapa by car in the afternoon.
You will have some free time to relax or explore more of Sapa town and the local market on your own before transferring to Lao Cai Train station for the night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

The train arrives back in Hanoi around 4:30 am – 5:00 am and walks to our day-use hotel by the train station for a few hours relaxing and having breakfast.
After breakfast, you will leave for Halong Bay, one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas and the world’s largest marine limestone ‘karst’ landscape.
After arrival, you will board a traditional sailboat for an exciting cruise.
Visit Bai Tu Long in the northern part of Halong Bay and admire picturesque islands and islets of various shapes. Explore the magnificent caves of Halong Bay, including Sung Sot Cave, the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay.
All your meals will be provided on board, usually based on fresh seafood. Your overnight will be aboard.

Today, you will explore the Grand Palace and the sensational temples of Bangkok.
Set along the waterway of the Chao Phraya River, the Grand Palace is a spectacle to experience. Within the palace complex are sensational temples that house some of the most well-preserved and coveted Buddhist artifacts, including Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

In the afternoon, visit Wat Arun, the most famous and photographed Temple of Dawn in Bangkok. Next, visit Wat Pho, the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok.

After breakfast, you will venture outside of the metropolis to the fabulous city of Ayutthaya, the once-storied capital of Siam.
You will visit Ayutthaya Historical Park, the UNESCO World Heritage site which is the heart of the old city. Next, explore Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the royal temple, and Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, known for its colossal reclining Buddha statue. Explore these stunning temples, you will have a grasp of Thailand’s unique history and culture.
You will return to Bangkok in the late afternoon with the calm and wonder of Ayutthaya echoing in your thoughts.

The early morning brings with it the lusciousness of creamy coconut and freshly squeezed orange juice.
After breakfast, you will once again venture outside of Bangkok to the riverside town of Kanchanaburi, known as the filming location for the movie, The Bridge on the River Kwai. The bridge was built by prisoners of war during World War II, overseen by the Japanese, and meant to stretch 250 miles from Ban Pong, Thailand to Thanbyuzayat, Burma.
You can also visit Thailand-Burma Railway Museum which is an interactive museum filled with photos and first-hand accounts from actual POWs during the war. You can walk along a short stretch of the railway, where the tracks are clear, and the experience of walking through modern history sends tingles down your spine.
Back in town, you will be able to step onto the actual bridge depicted in the movie, overlooking the Mekong River, where the gentle trickle of the water settles the history. Overnight in Bangkok.
