Upon arrival at Vientiane, our driver will meet and transfer you to hotel. Vientiane is a charming and fascinating capital, with an interesting mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and American influences.

After a short break, we start visiting major sights of Vientiane; including the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Then, head to the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which was previously home to the famous Emerald Buddha Image. En route to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.
Overnight in Vientiane.
After breakfast at hotel, make our way to Nam Ngum Lake, a huge reservoir created by damming the Nam Ngum River. Stop over at Ban Keun, which is famous for its salt extraction plant and a village of local Lao rice wine whiskey distillation.

Embark on a long tail boat through fisherman villages in varied islets. Visit some beautiful islets and take a short walk to explore local people’s lifestyle. On return, perhaps experience gambling at legal Lao casino.
Return to Vientine in the late evening. Overnight in Vientiane.
After breakfast, come across the Morning Market and the hand weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong (if possible).

Then, check out and move to the airport for a flight back home or to the next destination. End of 3 days in Vientiane itinerary.
