Vientiane is the capital of Laos, which is on a bend in the Mekong River and shares a border with Thailand. Khong Island is known for its natural beauty and attracts more and more tourists from other countries. Pakse is the charming capital of Champasak province in the south of Laos. This is also the second most popular city in the country, many tourists stop here to visit places like Bolaven Plateu or Si Phan Don Islands.

After arriving at Chiangkong – Huay Xai Immigration Check-Point, we proceed formalities and then take a private slow boat down south along the Mekong River to Pakbeng.
Stay overnight in Pakbeng in riverside hotel.
Continue by boat to Luang Prabang after breakfast. Visit various hill tribe settlements on the route to the famous Pak Ou caves known as Tham Ting. Visit the rice wine distillation village of Ban Sanghai before arriving in Luang Prabang at sunset.

Full-day city tour of this old Lao Kingdom capital city, which is wonderfully positioned on the Mekong and surrounded by hills.
Visit Wat Visoun, Wat May, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Praphuthabat, The National Museum (old Royal Palace), and Chomsi/Phousi Mountain for a sunset vista over the Mekhong River and a panoramic panorama of Luang Prabang City.
Full-day journey to the beautiful Khuang Si waterfalls (picnic lunch on site). Swimming in the clean natural pools is recommended. Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon to see Ban Phanom weaving village and Ban Sangkong village (natural paper making process from mulberry trees).
Early start (5:45am) to travel to Ban Vat Sean to witness long lines of monks collecting alms, then return for breakfast.
Check out of the accommodation and proceed to the old Royal Palace before transfer to the airport for the short flight to Vientiane. Transfer to accommodation and free time upon arrival in the new capital.
Full-day Vientiane city trip, including visits to Wat Prakeo (the original home of the Emerald Buddha) and Wat Sisaket (the house of thousand Buddha images). In the afternoon, visit Anousavari (Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe), Pha That Luang stupa (the stupa that stores Lord Buddha’s relic), and then shop at Morning Market.
Transfer to the airport for an early morning flight to Pakse.
Meet our guide upon arrival, then take a road trip (the historic coffee route) to Tat Lo in the center of the Boleven Plateau. Stop around Km 35 to see the famed Tat Fan waterfalls and the ethnic settlements in the surrounding region.
Then travel back to Pakse in the evening and spend the night there.
A.M.: Travel to Champasack to visit Wat Phou (Khmer ruins dating to the 11th century), then commute toward Kong Island, on the way visit local Phasouay Waterfalls and local villages such Alak, Katou.
We continue our trip to Kong Island.
Overnight at Kong Island.
After breakfast, we will take a boat to begin a day tour to Done Khone Island.
We visit famous attractions such as the Li Phi ( Devil’s Corridor), the remnants of the French colonial area ( old pier, stream rail way, former French hospital buildings and Messagerie Maritime Offices), or we can see the famous Irriwady fresh water dolphins.
Then take the ferry boat to Ban Nakasang village and visit Khon Phapheng ( Niagara of Asia ).
Head back to Pakse and stay the night there.
After breakfast, you enjoy your own time or go shopping until transfer to the airport.
