The trip continues with a stop to a renowned lacquerware factory and the Thien Hau Pagoda in China Town.

Return to Saigon for dinner and overnight.

In the morning: Today, we explore a portion of the Mekong Delta.
After two hours of driving, take a stop at My Tho to see the beautiful Vinh Trang Pagoda and a family-run rice noodle factory before continuing south to Can Tho province.
Check into the hotel at midday in Can Tho.
In the afternoon: We depart for Thot Not, 45 kilometers north of Can Tho, to see the bamboo basket-making village of Long Thanh, followed by the Thot Not Stork Sanctuary, where you can observe hundreds of egrets and herons roosting in the trees from a viewing tower.
Return to Can Tho for supper and overnight in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, check out and travel northwest to the Cambodian border town of Chau Doc.

Take a boat in the afternoon to see the Fish Farms on the Mekong River, where fish are raised in wooden cages hung underneath floating dwellings.
Stop at an islet to explore the community of a Cham minority group, where residents continue to live a traditional, basic existence on stilt dwellings by fishing, weaving, and performing daily Muslim rituals.
Return to the mainland in time to drive up Sam Mountain for a sunset view of the Cambodian border.
Spend the evening at Chau Doc.
Leave Chau Doc for Saigon via Vinh Long.
At Vinh Long, take a boat ride to see the Phan Thanh Giang Confucius Temple and the town of Cho Cua, which is known for its handicrafts. Visit a ceramic tile factory, a tofu and fish sauce plant, a blacksmith’s, a roof thatcher’s, and a rice husking business.
Continue to Cai Be Floating Market, then re-enter the vehicle and travel back to Saigon for supper and overnight.
Spend the evening in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, depart Saigon for a 300-kilometer journey through magnificent rubber and tea plantation fields on way to the cooler climate of Dalat.
Dalat, which was founded as a hill station at the turn of the 20th century, resembles an alpine village with its French chalets and pine trees.
Dalat tourism includes the art deco former Summer Palace of Emperor Bao Dai, the ancient Dalat Railway Station, Xuan Huong Lake, the Central Market, and Lam Ty Ni Pagoda, where a Buddhist monk, Vien Thuc, paints and writes poetry.
Stay overnight in Dalat.
Leave Dalat for Nha Trang after breakfast.
The route descends to Phan Rang, a dry coastal city.
Visit the Po Klong Jarai Cham Towers, built in the 13th century and located above a steep hill surrounded by prickly pear cactus.
After Phan Rang Highway 1, head north and follow the coast via salt pondos and emerald rice fields to reach Nha Trang.
Check into your Nha Trang hotel upon arrival.
Visit the city, featuring the Po Nagar Cham Towers and the Long Son Pagoda with its massive white Buddha statue, in the afternoon.
Stay overnight in Nha Trang.
