Meet your guide at the hotel and move to The Great Wall at Huangyaguan. Here is the rendezvous of the annual International Huangyaguan Great Wall Marathon. The Wall in this section has many watchtowers. Hike from Taipingzhai to Huangyahuan and take a break. Then, travel to Gubeikou Village for your accommodation tonight.
Huangyaguan Great Wall

Today you will continue your hiking tour from Gubeikou to Jinshanling. This section has a more interesting historical background than others, this is a chance to learn more about history in this Great Wall 5 days tour. After hiking on the Gubeikou section, you will walk past the cornfield to reach the Jinshanling section. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant before moving to a hotel in Gubeikou Village.
Jinshanling

In the morning, you will drive to Jinshanling for another adventure. Today’s destination is Simatai West, which is very beautiful with views that will amaze you. The section is restored halfway through, you can see both ancient watchtowers and the restored section of the Wall. Lunch at Jinshanling then head to Jiankou Village to stay the night.
Simatai Great Wall

Today will be the journey from Jiankou to Mutianyu. Starting with a steep hike to reach the Wall for the view of the Jiankou section at Zhenbeilou Watchtower. Continue with a hike to the east to the restored section of Mutianyu, the area has been restored fully, so you can see the difference compared to the other areas. Have a late lunch and stay overnight at Mutianyu.
Jiankou to Mutianyu

Today, your driver will pick you up early to head to the Huanghuacheng area. This section of the Wall is on steep mountain ridges and can spot from afar. You can see the impressive views of the lakeside Wall once you get to the first tower. Continue through bushes and forested areas to reach Xishuiyu. Enjoy a hotpot lunch on your way back to Beijing and end your 5 days of Great Wall adventure.
