Welcome to Thailand!
After landing in Chiang Mai, a driver will pick you up at the airport lobby and transfer you to your hotel in Chiang Mai, a city in the country’s mountainous north. This Old City area is considered one of the cultural and religious centers as it still retains vestiges of the historical period such as ancient walls and moats. It is also home to hundreds of intricate Buddhist temples, diverse hill tribes, tea plantations, and elephant sanctuaries.
Your first day in Thailand 9 days tour will start with a visit to Worarot Market, the largest central market of Chiang Mai, locally known as Kad Luang. Here, you can see plenty of local dishes, fresh fruits, and fragrant flowers. If you are a history and temple enthusiast, you should not miss the 14th-century Wat Chedi Luang temple with its steep multi-story roofs. Besides, you can also visit Wat Chiang Man, this is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai, where an ancient Buddha statue named Phra Kaew Khao is kept in its main hall. At the end of the day, enjoy a beautiful sunset at Chiang Mai on the hillside of Wat Phra Singh.
Come nightfall, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar springs to life. Night Market usually starts at 5 pm, this bustling market is famous for its handicrafts and portrait paintings. You can get there to buy souvenirs and sample some local dishes cooked before your eyes before heading back to your hotel for a good night’s rest.

You will then have to make a climb 306 steps to reach the temple. With such an ideal height, you can see the entire city from above from the grounds of the ancient temple. Surrounded by two dragons (snakes) and magnificent Buddha statues, the golden temple Wat Prathat Doi Suthep appears extremely majestic and brilliant.
From there, you’ll continue to explore a bumpy mountain road by a truck and visit the White Hmong hill tribe village. It’s a scenic route to get there. When you arrive in the village, you will learn how the locals build and live in simple houses, how they preserve their ancient culture and customs, and how they made perfect hand-embroidered costumes for the family’s apparel needs. After a full day on the mountain, you will return to your hotel in Chiang Mai in the evening for relaxing. The 2nd day in Thailand 9 days tour goes well.

The last spot of the day will be at Sukhothai, a small town about 265 miles (427 km) north of Bangkok on the Yom River, a tributary of the Chao Phraya River. You’ll check into your hotel in Sukhothai and spend the rest of the day free to explore the town.
The next day of your Thailand tour will be the time to enjoy the relaxed pace of life and meet the friendly locals in Sukhothai. Your bicycle journey through the Sukhothai area will begin with an exploration of ancient ruins, then traditional markets and centuries-old craft villages. Not as bustling as urban Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Sukhothai retains much of the charm of the Thai countryside.
Your guided bike tour will start from a small village on the outskirts of Sukhothai called Ban Khuai, from where you’ll start on a dirt road that crosses endless rice fields with stunning views of Kao Laung Mountain. After a short visit to a traditional wooden furniture factory, you will continue your journey along small irrigation canals (Klong Mae Lampan), passing by rural villages.
Arriving at the East Gate, you’ll learn about Sukhothai’s history by visiting famous temples including Wat Chang Lom, Wat Si Chum, and Wat Mahathat, designed with a fusion of Buddhist and Indian architecture. Then continue to visit a traditional craft village and see some of the country’s finest craftsmanship from what is known as Thailand’s Golden Age. However, when the war broke out, this temple was attacked by bandits and the main stupa was also left in ruins.
Then, you will head to Uthai Thani to visit Wat Chantaram, commonly known as Wat Ta Soong. The temple is home to a small monastery filled with local paintings depicting the history of the Buddha. After completing the hotel check-in procedure, you are free to explore for the rest of the day.
You can spend half the afternoon resting or join in a half-day Ayutthaya tour, where you’ll explore the UNESCO-listed ancient archaeological site. The tour will be a journey to discover the famous landmark of the old town, Ayutthaya Historical Park. It is surrounded by three rivers: Chao Phraya River, Pa Sak River, and Lopburi River. Besides, the park’s campus also owns more than 300 historical sites, including palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries, and statues.
The next destination of the Thailand 9 days tour is Kanchanaburi. Along the way to Kanchanaburi, you will stop to visit Erawan National Park.
