IDC Travel’s tour guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport exit gate when you arrive at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi.
On the way from the airport to the hotel, our tour guide will give you a brief overview of your tour itinerary and general information you’ll need while you’re in Vietnam. He or she will also ask if there’s anything you need to be sure of and confirm the pick-up time for the next day.
If we have time, we take a cyclo around the Old Quarter, go to the Water Puppet Show in the late afternoon, and have a welcome dinner.
Stay in a Hanoi hotel for the night.
Our driver and tour guide will come to your hotel in Hanoi to pick you up, and then we’ll drive to Mai Chau.
On the way, we stop briefly in the town of Luong Son.
We get to the town of Lac-Mai Chau. Eat a delicious lunch of food from the area.
In the afternoon, we go to the beautiful poetic valley of Mai Chau. There, we learn about the interesting customs of the “white Thai” ethnic minority and how they make their unique brocades and handicrafts.
In the late afternoon, we keep going to Moc Chau, where there are huge tea fields and a huge number of different kinds of wild flowers.
At 18:00: Arrive in Moc Chau, check into your room, and have a North-West-style dinner.

After an early breakfast, we go to the Dai Yem waterfall and the Dong Son Moc Huong (Doi cave), which is the most beautiful cave in the northwestern part of Vietnam and has a very interesting story behind it.
The next beautiful place is the pine forest in Ang village. It looks like a place out of a dream, with lots of green pine trees and a big, pretty lake. In this area, we enjoy the beauty of the rolling hills covered with wildflowers, plump-tree gardens, and peach trees.
At 11:45: Lunch will be in Moc Chau.
In the afternoon, we keep going to Dien Bien, stopping in Son La to see the Son La Prison.

After breakfast, we start the day by going to the Dien Bien Phu Museum and A1 hill. Then, we go to the Dien Bien Phu Cemetery to remember the heroes who gave their lives to win the historic Dien Bien Phu Campaign. Visit the Old Muong Thanh Bridge, the Bunker of General De Castries, and the Nam Rom river.
After lunch, we’ll drive to Lai Chau, where we’ll have dinner and stay the night.
This morning, we’re leaving Lai Chau to go to Sapa. Route 4D, which goes from Lai Chau to Sapa and goes through the Fansipan Mountain Range and along the border with China, is probably the most beautiful stretch of road in Vietnam. The Tram Ton Pass is the highest point in Vietnam. Lunch in local restaurant en route. In the afternoon, we’ll get to Sapa.
Have dinner on your own and stay the night in Sapa.
You’ll be picked up at your hotel, and then the tour to Sapa’s ethnic villages will begin. The day is spent on a beautiful hike through Sa Pa valley’s breathtaking scenery.
Start by taking the road that goes down in the wake of the street Cau May (6 km). Along the way, you can see the rice terraces hidden by the morning mist, which is an amazing sight. Follow a small path, cross the Muong Hoa River, and walk past well-kept rice terraces to get to Lao Chai, a Black Hmong village. The village of Ta Van Giay is at the end of the colorful rice terraces. As you walk along the Muong Hoa River, about 2 km from the settlement, you will cross a small suspension bridge. There are a lot of interesting rock carvings to see here. In these engravings, there are some beautiful pictures of people, houses on stilts, and patterns.
We eat lunch in a village home.
After lunch, the walk goes through a bamboo forest to the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai. After taking a break near a waterfall to get some fresh air, you start going uphill until you reach a road where your car is waiting to take you back to Sapa.
Have dinner on your own and stay the night in Sapa.
