Upon your arrival at Hanoi airport, your English-speaking guide and driver from IDC Travel will welcome you and drive you to the hotel (check-in from 1:30 pm). You will have some free time to rest.
In the afternoon, visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays). Discover the lifestyles and customs of the 54 ethnic minorities living in Vietnam.

The day will start with a visit to a local market.
Visit the capital to discover the country’s history, of which the Vietnamese are very proud, through cultural and historical destinations: the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university dating from the 11th century, or the Shrine of the Prince of Letters. Continue with a visit to the Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on the island of West Lake, built in the 6th century and considered the center of Buddhism in Thang Long under the Ly and Tran dynasties.
The afternoon will be reserved for a walking tour and then a cyclo ride in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter (old Ma May houses, Dong Xuan Market, Bach Ma Temple).
Free meal in the evening.
Take the road to Hanoi station for the overnight train to Lao Cai.

After an early morning arrival at Lao Cai station, you will be greeted with breakfast at a local restaurant.
You will head to Coc Ly, a very colorful market, on a beautiful mountain road (about 3h30 from Sapa and 1h30 from Bac Ha). This market is known for its buffalo and horse trade and also for its remarkable geographical position on the banks of the Chay River. Every Tuesday, many ethnic minorities gather there, including the Flower Hmong wearing their impressive costumes.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will take the road to Sapa. Cross the Hmong village where you will discover the daily life of this ethnic group, surrounded by wonderful gardens and pine forests.
Continue your walk through the terraced rice fields and spectacular landscapes before heading to a local school.
Then go to the village of Ta Phin, a village of the Red Dzao. You will stay with a local family. Despite the minimalist comfort, you can expect a rich experience you will never forget.

After breakfast with the host family, discover the village of Y Linh Ho, passing through Lao Chai, a Black Hmong village. Along the road, the superb landscapes of the Muong Hoa Valley await you. This valley is entirely created by human hands, offering an incredible landscape of terraced rice fields and small successive villages. From village to village, meet a new ethnic group and discover how their costumes and traditions change with each ethnicity.
Lunch with the host family then return by car to Sapa.
You will be free to walk around the streets of Sapa to explore the market, the central square, and the stone church before heading to Lao Cai station to take the return train to Hanoi.

After an early morning arrival at Hanoi station, you will be greeted with a local breakfast at a small, friendly, and warm hotel.
Then head to Ninh Binh, which is about 2 hours and 30 30-minute drive from the capital (120 km), one of Vietnam’s attractive destinations. This place is also considered the terrestrial Halong Bay due to its steep reliefs and limestone hills resembling Halong Bay, covered with dense vegetation and home to natural streams and erosion-carved tunnels.
Continue your journey with a visit to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu and its temples dedicated to Emperors Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh dynasty (968-980), and Le Dai Hanh of the Le dynasty (980-1009). Continue the day to Tam Coc and have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, enjoy a two-hour sampan boat ride through the incredible karst landscapes of Thung Nham, a place as beautiful as Tam Coc and much less touristy. Cycle through the surrounding villages, including Hai Nham village. Discover the life of the inhabitants and the typical landscapes of this region.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head to Halong Bay for a 4-hour drive (200 km between Ninh Binh and Halong). The day will start with a 24-hour cruise on Halong Bay aboard a beautiful wooden junk.
You will be greeted with a welcome cocktail and then meet the crew. After the presentation of your cruise program, you will settle into your cabin. Swim in the turquoise waters of the bay and relax on the beach.
Continue to visit the Thien Canh Son cave. Take a boat ride to Hon Co Island, where you can enjoy another relaxing moment on the beach, go kayaking, or simply admire the sunset.
Then, you will return to the boat and have free time in the late afternoon.
Seafood dinner and overnight on the boat in an air-conditioned cabin, equipped with a private bathroom.

You are advised to wake up early to watch the sunrise over the bay.
Then have breakfast on board the boat as the crew raises anchor and heads towards the floating village of Vung Vieng.
Next, discover the Vung Vieng floating village by a small rowboat and also the village school.
Continue cruising in the bay. Lunch will be served on board as the boat heads towards the port.
Leave around noon to Hon Gai port before heading back to Hanoi, 170 km away (3h30 drive). On the way back, you can visit the But Thap Pagoda.
We will drive you to Hanoi airport for the evening flight to Hue.
After arriving in Hue, your local driver will welcome you and then drive you to the hotel in the city.

Then discover the Imperial City, a real fortified city built according to the same plan as the Forbidden City in Beijing, its Palace of Supreme Harmony, its Royal Theater, and its Palace of Longevity, or even a garden house, an old traditional house surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Visit the Tomb of King Tu Duc, near Hue, probably the most beautiful and majestic tomb you can see in Vietnam. Designed in harmony with nature, surrounded by lotus ponds. Around the tomb are statues of lions, elephants, and mandarins.
You will stop for a moment to discover the secrets of making Vietnam’s iconic conical hats.
On the way back, visit the Tu Hieu Pagoda.

In the afternoon, take the road to Hoi An. Along the South China Sea, you will be amazed at the top of the Hai Van Pass (also known as the panoramic view of Lang Co beach to the north of Danang and its surroundings to the south).
Upon your arrival in Danang, you will discover China Beach and the Cham Art Museum.
You will check into the hotel after arriving in Hoi An.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will go to Hoi An, a historic city and major commercial port in Asia in the 17th and 18th centuries. You will be amazed by the classic Vietnamese architecture as you walk through the old town. Then, visit the Quan Cong temple, the 200-year-old Tan Ky house, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the lively market where you will find all kinds of traditional products. The low houses covered with tiles that spread along the small streets and the assembly halls testify to the multicultural past of the city.
Cycle to the Tra Que vegetable village, known for its herb cultivation, such as mint and basil. The leaves are smaller than usual, with a distinctive aroma. In the morning, explore the life of the farmers and you will have the chance to learn their techniques. Follow them into the fields and try digging and picking vegetables. You will return to Hoi An and then have the rest of the day to admire the charms of this peaceful city.

Breakfast then go (without a guide) to Danang airport for the flight to Saigon.
Upon your arrival in Saigon, we will drive you to the hotel. The discovery of this city will begin in the afternoon.
Visit the Reunification Palace, which was the residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of 1975, and some architectural works from the French colonial period such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City Post Office.
Then continue to visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda.

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the Mekong Delta and Ben Tre, stopping along the way at the village of My Tho. In Ben Tre, embark on a river cruise to immerse yourself in the culture and daily life of the Mekong inhabitants, discovering brick-making techniques and salt processing. This river cruise in this exceptional natural setting will take you to the islands of Cai Son and Nhon Thanh, where locals specialize in mat production. Taste seasonal fruits and for the rest of the day, cycle through rice fields and vegetable gardens.
Lunch at a local’s home. You will start the afternoon with a boat cruise along the Mekong Delta. On board a boat, you will head towards the Cai Coi Creek.
You will then take the road to Can Tho. After arrival, you will check into the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Take a boat ride on the canal to the Cai Rang floating market, the most important wholesale market in the Mekong Delta. Mangoes, pineapples, bananas, and other fruits and vegetables are stacked in pyramids on sampans (flat-bottomed Chinese boats). A life of colors will truly delight photography enthusiasts. The hike will continue through canals along streams dotted with coconut trees. You can stop at an orchard for a tasting of seasonal fruits in the shade of tall palm trees.
Then continue the bike ride to Binh Thuy, where you will find an old 19th-century house built 130 years ago, and its decor was used in the filming of the movie “The Lover”.
Return to Saigon.
