Upon your arrival in Vientiane Airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel in the city center.

Today, our tour guide will take you on a tour of Vientiane’s highlights. Begin with a visit to the National Museum to learn more about Laos’ rich history. Next, explore Wat Si Saket, the oldest surviving temple in the city, home to thousands of Buddhist images.

The tour also includes visits to the iconic Pha That Luang Stupa and the Patuxay Monument.

In the afternoon, head to Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuan. Take a leisurely stroll around this unique park, which features over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues.

Afterward, you will drive back to Vientiane. Free for dinner.

After breakfast, you will drive to Vang Vieng. Along the way, you will pass through breathtaking countryside as you head toward the mountainous region. A stop at Vang Xang, a renowned archaeological site dating back to the 11th century, will add a historical touch to your journey.

Tham Jang Cave

You will arrive in Vang Vieng in the afternoon, a town nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Upon arrival, you will cross the Nam Song River to visit the Tham Jang caves. Then, enjoy a short trek through the stunning mountain landscape to explore the Tam None Cave and visit some hill villages.

The day concludes with a spectacular view of the sunset reflecting over the Nam Song River.

Today, the tour will take you to Tham Phu Kham Cave and the Blue Lagoon, an eco-water park situated in a picturesque village near Vang Vieng.

At Tham Phu Kham Cave, you can marvel at sharp stalactites and stalagmites as you descend the steep walls to the largest hall of the cave, which houses a bronze statue of a reclining Buddha, along with several smaller Buddha images revered by locals.

Outside the cave, the green-blue waters of the lagoon offer a beautiful spot for relaxation. You can also try your hand at abseiling one of the water slides.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic drive to Sam Neua, the capital city of Houaphan Province, Laos. It will take you about 7 hours of driving.

Spend this day discovering famous tourist attractions of Sam Neua, including some local weaving villages and caves.

One of the highlights of this day’s adventure is the famous Vieng Xai Caves, which was the residence of the Pathet Laos leaders during the Secret War.

Today, we will head out to explore Site 1 of the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are scattered across the plateau.

Next, we will visit the bustling Central Market in Phonsavan, followed by the MAG exhibition.

We will then proceed to Site 2 of the Plain of Jars and enjoy a short scenic trek to Site 3, passing through Tai Dam and Lao Leum villages along the way.

Return to the hotel. Free for dinner and overnight in Xieng Khouang.

Your full-day city tour begins after breakfast with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum (closed on Tuesdays), home to a fascinating collection of artifacts. Next, explore Wat Sene, the city’s oldest temple, and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, renowned for its classical Laotian architecture with sweeping roofs that almost touch the ground.

Continue to the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

In the afternoon, visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about the diverse ethnic cultures of Laos. Then, venture out of town to see the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. Return to the city for a visit to Wat Mai.

Finally, climb Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa and enjoy a stunning sunset view over the city and the Mekong River.

In the evening, visit the famous Night Market, where you’ll find handmade textiles created by local and hill tribe artisans.

Your memorable trip today begins with partaking in a morning alms ritual, where you will receive blessings from monks to whom you give alms. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast.

Next, embark on a private 2-hour boat trip along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves. During the journey, you will admire the beautiful scenery along the river and observe the daily fishing activities of local people living by the riverside. Upon arrival at the Pak Ou Caves, you will discover numerous gold-lacquered Buddha statues.

After exploring the cave, head to the Kuang Si Waterfalls for an excursion. There, you can enjoy the stunning natural scenery, have fun in the waterfalls, and relax.

Today, you will join a hands-on experience at Living Land Farm, a community-supported project dedicated to sustainable agriculture through the cultivation of rice, vegetables, and herbs. This organic initiative was established to counter the destructive farming methods still prevalent in parts of Laos. The farm supplies produce to restaurants in Luang Prabang and support education for underprivileged children.

You will begin by assisting in the fields, where farmers plow, plant, and harvest without using machinery. Roll up your pants and push up your sleeves as you get knee-deep in the mud to plant rice, or learn to steer a water buffalo to plow the field.

You can also help pick herbs, pluck vegetables, or husk rice. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, simply enjoy the view from the shady verandah.
