You will start your journey in Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam, where the peaceful beauty adorns the 100-year-old city. Then, take the train to Lao Cai to visit Sapa. By taking beautiful hikes, you will explore the rice terraces and valleys hidden in the high mountains. Subsequently, you will visit Ha Giang and Cao Bang to observe magnificent mountainous landscapes.
Arrive at Hanoi airport where our guide will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel.
Check in at the hotel. The room will be at your disposal from 2:00 pm. If arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at the reception and go sightseeing while waiting for check-in.

Have breakfast at the hotel and spend your day exploring the major tourist destinations of Hanoi. You will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Then, move to the Temple of Literature, which is the first university of Vietnam, built in the 16th century.
Have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which presents 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. Through 25,000 objects, including traditional costumes, jewelry, musical instruments, and weapons, you will have a first insight into the daily life of the country’s different minorities.
Finally, watch a special water puppet show.
After this show, you will be transferred to the train station for a night train to Lao Cai.

Upon your arrival at Lao Cai Station in the early morning, our driver will welcome and transfer you to a mini-hotel where you can take a short break and enjoy breakfast.
At 08:00 AM, begin your journey to explore the must-see sites of Sapa. Go to Y Linh Ho village for a 2-hour hike. You will cross the marvelous landscapes of rice terraces towards the village of Lao Chai. Then, take another short hike of 1.5 hours to Ta Van village. If you don’t feel like hiking, you can go by car.
Meet the ethnic minority of Black Hmong and Giay people for a local lunch.
Ta Van and Lao Chai villages are hidden in the Muong Hoa Valley, which is the most beautiful valley in Northern Vietnam. The hiking routes are of rare beauty with rice terraces, suspension bridges, and traditional houses. Here, you can observe the daily life of local Black Hmong and Giay people. You can also discover their houses and traditional products like hemp weaving, indigo dyeing, blacksmithing, etc.

Breakfast at the homestay.
Then, go to Giang Ta Chai village. This route is less crowded in comparison to other trekking trails in Sapa, allowing you to experience the authenticity of the mountainous region. En route, you will cross the beautiful fields as well as the bamboo forest.
Giang Ta Chai village is surrounded by lush green hills and magnificent rice terraces. Here, you will have lunch near the village’s waterfall. Cross a suspension bridge and resume the hike towards the village of Su Pan where the Red Dzao live. This is an ethnic group from the North who live mainly by growing corn.
Then, take the main road to Sapa and transfer to Bac Ha by car. Enjoy free time and spend the night at a hotel in Bac Ha.

Have breakfast at the hotel and then visit Bac Ha ethnic market, which is famous as the liveliest and largest local market in Northern Vietnam. You will have the chance to meet the ethnic groups, such as the Black Hmong, the Giay, the Dzao, etc. Taste local products like rice alcohol, Thang Co, etc.
Head towards Ha Giang. You will pass Sin Man and Hoang Su Phi, the residences of the Red Dzao, Co Lao, Nung, etc. If time permits, you will visit an ethnic village to observe the daily life of local people in the mountains.
Arrive in Ha Giang in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel.

Have breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to Dong Van. Stop en route to visit the palace of the H’Mong King Vuong Chi Sinh, who is the most important man of the H’Mong community in the colonial period. The town of Dong Van is located at an altitude of 1000 meters with rocks everywhere.
Next, explore Meo Vac – home to the famous Khau Vai love market, where local women and men come to meet each other. This special market takes place only once a year on the night of March 26 according to the lunar calendar. Many tourists go there to experience this authentic market.
