Dedicate this whole day to discovering the emblematic temples of the Angkor Complex.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Angkor Complex was the largest and most important archaeological site in Southeast Asia. It houses the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. The complex includes many monuments of Khmer architecture, both naturalistic and historical.
Our first stop will be Ta Prohm, almost engulfed by jungle and surrounded by tropical forests. It was a monastery and school of Mahayanist Buddhism, built by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century.
Then, visit Angkor Wat, the largest religious heritage site in the world. Khmer King Jayavarman II built Angkor Wat in the early 12th century as his mausoleum. It represents a mixture of two fundamental Khmer architectures: that of mountain temples.
In the afternoon, check out the mysterious Angkor Thom, the longest and the last capital of the Khmer Empire. Located next to Tonle Sap Lake, it was built by the Khmer king Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century in a Bayon architectural style.
Next, we will visit the surrounding area of the complex, including the Bayon Temple, the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of Leper King, and the Royal Palace area.

After breakfast at the hotel, head to the Happy Ranch Horse Farm, where your family will have the opportunity to explore Cambodia’s ancient temples and authentic rural life on horseback. In the morning, we will visit Banteay Srei, the smallest but nevertheless magnificent temple of the complex, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Banteay Srei was built entirely in the 14th century from red sandstone, making it a masterpiece of artistic sculpture.
We will then continue with a visit to Phnom Kulen. This mountain range is considered sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. The main attraction is the waterfall at the top of Kulen Mountain, which provides water to Siem Reap and dominates the skyline of all the surrounding plains.
Near Phnom Kulen is the River of 1000 Lingas. It is of great spiritual, historical, and cultural importance, particularly in terms of agriculture, as it runs down to Angkor Wat and flows into the Siem Reap River – which in turn flows into the Tonlé Sap, the largest lake from Cambodia.
We will have a picnic lunch, then return to Siem Reap. Along the way, visit the Banteay Srei Butterfly Center – a place that children love. It features a vivid exhibition of Cambodian butterflies and is the largest butterfly exhibition in Southeast Asia.

In the morning, after breakfast, we will head south of Siem Reap to discover Tonlé Sap Lake. You will have the opportunity to kayak to discover the floating fishing villages of Chong Kneas. You will see floating houses, markets, schools, etc. While kayaking on the lake, you will see many women in their canoes selling all kinds of things.
In the afternoon, you will have free time until transfer to the airport to take a flight to Phnom Penh. The rest of the day will be at your disposal. You might consider taking an evening street food tour or exploring Phnom Penh at night by tuk-tuk.

The first stop on our city tour is the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. It reveals the genocidal crimes of the Khmer Rouge during their period of rule from 1975 to 1979. During the four years of Khmer Rouge rule, Tuol Sleng detained approximately 17,000 people, most of them ruling soldiers, accused of treason.
Next, we will visit the National Museum, built by the French colonial government in a mixture of French and Khmer architecture. Known as the pinnacle of archeology and literature museums in Cambodia, it houses the largest collection of Khmer art and religious relics in the world.
We will continue our visit to the Royal Palace, a complex of buildings built in 1866 where the kings of the Kingdom of Cambodia lived, except during the period of Khmer Rouge rule.
We will end the city tour by visiting the Silver Pagoda. An important and famous pagoda of Cambodia with 5000 handmade silver coins paving the ground.

Located 40 km south of Phnom Penh, the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center is the largest zoo in Cambodia. Founded in 1995, it cares for around 1,200 rescued animals. The zoo is also home to many rare and endangered species, such as elephants, tigers, crocodiles, and sun bears. This tour will definitely be fun and interesting for children.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will transfer to Kep. Check in to the hotel and free for the rest of the day.
