Beijing is the cultural and political center of China and the largest city in China. Beijing is also a city with a long cultural history and many famous historical buildings and sites, attracting many tourists.
Xian is such a charming city with countless ancient architectural wonders, including the 700-year-old city wall. Famous for the Terracotta Army of the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, Qin Shi Huang. This huge collection of warrior statues has been designated as one of the wonders of the world.
Shanghai is China’s largest city, a metropolis of world-class museums and art galleries, beautiful gardens and ancient temples. Chongqing: the ‘Mountain City’, Chongqing is attractive for beautiful natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Yangtze River is the longest river in China. It flows from the west of Tibet to Shanghai and runs along many captivating attractions in this country. Let’s spend the best 12 days in China, you will not be disappointed.
When you arrive at Shanghai airport, your local guide will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel for check-in.
If you come in the morning, we will have time to see the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Nanjing Road, which is a popular shopping street.
After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll take a fast train to Beijing, which will take about 5.5 hours. When you get off the train, our local guide will meet you at the exit and take you to the hotel to check in.
Today, we will visit Tiananmen Square, which is the world’s biggest city center square. In 1415, during the Ming dynasty, this place was built, and since then, many political events have taken place there. The Forbidden City is one of the best-kept wooden buildings in the world, and it’s only a 5-minute drive from the square. The Forbidden City’s elegant red and yellow design shows how important ancient emperors were during feudalism.
We will continue our trip to the Temple of Heaven, which is the most important imperial temple in China, this afternoon. When night comes, we’ll go to the Red Theater to see a great Kung Fu show.
In the morning, we will visit the Great Wall, which is one of the eight wonders of the world. We will spend our time in Badaling, which is the part that has been kept in the best shape.
In the afternoon, you will go to the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way. We will drive by the Bird’s Nest on the way back to our hotel (Olympic National Stadium).
On your last day in Beijing, we’ll go to the Summer Palace, which is still in good shape, and take a Hutong rickshaw tour. Then, take a fast train to Xian, where our private transfer will take you to the hotel.
In the morning, our guide will take you to the world’s largest underground military museum, the Terracotta Warriors. It was built as a piece of art for the tomb of the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. There are 8,000 soldiers made out of terracotta here. The emperor’s guardians in the afterlife were made of terracotta.
After the morning activities, we’ll take you to the Xian Museum and then the Tang Dynasty-built Small Wild Goose Pagoda. At night, we’ll set up a dumpling dinner for you. There will be different kinds of dumplings to choose from. After that, a show of music and dance from the Tang Dynasty is performed
After breakfast, you will be taken to the well-kept City Wall to look at it. You can rent a bike right there to get a good look at the old city.
Then you will take a flight to Chongqing. Our local guide is waiting at the airport to pick you up and take you to Ciqikou Ancient Town. After that, you will get on a cruise ship on the Yangtze River. Your memorable cruise experience begins at 22:00.
Following breakfast, you will be given a cruise briefing. The onshore trip for today is to Shibaozhai, whose primary structure is Shibaozhai tower. A formal Captain’s Welcome Party will be held late in the afternoon, and you are invited to attend.
Today is the most crucial day of your ship voyage. The ship will travel through the Qutang Gorge and then the Wu Gorge.
You’ll disembark in Wu Gorge at Wushan Daning River for an excursion to Shennong Stream. When visiting the lush Shennong Stream, you’ll first take a 40-minute ride on an electric boat. After that, you’ll board a little pea-boat rowed by locals.
Return to the ship, and the voyage continues into the Xiling Gorge’s western part. It is the Yangtze River’s longest and most treacherous gorge.
You will check out and disembark in the morning for a trip to the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest hydroelectric power station. The cruise ship operator will then drive you to the Three Gorges Tourist Center in Yichang city, where you will meet our local guide. You will catch a flight to Shanghai after lunch. Our guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation.
The Shanghai Museum, one of the most well-known museums in the city, will be your first stop. It is a great treasure trove of ancient Chinese art, with a collection of 120,000 artifacts, including bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, and painting.
Then pay a visit to the Yuyuan Garden, a 400-year-old classical garden. It’s a peaceful and attractive garden with Ming and Qing dynasty southern architectural traits.
In the afternoon, we’ll take a leisurely stroll around the Bund, followed by a brief cruise down the Huangpu River.
After that, our guide and driver will return you to the hotel.
