Start your South Myanmar 6 days tour with a visit to the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda to admire the 70-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Visit Chinatown to see the dragons and incense of the colorful Kheng Hock Keong temple. Continue to explore the bustling street stalls where local vendors sell all kinds of fruits, vegetables, etc.
Next, have a short stop near Royal Lake located in Kandawgyi Park, which is very popular with local residents, especially early in the morning and at sunset. Breakfast at the hotel. After that, you will depart for Kyaikhtiyo towards Mon State (about 5 hours). In towards Mon State, you board an open truck to the Golden Rock Pagoda (about 1.5 hours). If you want, you can descend halfway (45 minutes drive) and continue on foot.
Optionally, you can catch a train from Yangon to Bago. This way, you will leave Yangon Central Station at 7:15 AM and arrive in Bago at 9:15 AM. Then, continue your journey by car to the Golden Rock (approximately 3.5 hours). With the slow train speed, this is a wonderful way for you to enjoy the splendor of the passing landscapes.

Have dinner and overnight in Kyaikhtiyo.

After breakfast, you will descend the Golden Rock by the same route as the day before, with the opportunity to take a short walk, then a truck will take you to the base camp, where your car and driver will be waiting to drive to your next destination.
You will travel approximately 2.5 hours to Hpa An, the capital of Kayin State, which has recently opened to tourism.
Along the way, stop at a few local villages to experience their way of life and meet, and interact with the local people. Then, you will visit the ancient city of Thaton, the capital of the Mon kingdom from the 9th to the 11th century.
Discover the Shwezayan Pagoda, dating from the 9th century, and many other notable stupas in the region.
Overnight in Hpa An.
