This morning, we set off to explore Siem Reap’s countryside. Your first stop will be the APOPO Visitor Center, where you will meet with the giant rats who can detect landmines. Then, continue to Banteay Srei (also known as the Citadel of Women), a splendid temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.

Today is shaping up to be a great day for sighting lots of wildlife at Botum Sakor National Park, including river otters, pileated gibbons, and Sunda pangolins (if you are lucky enough). You will have an opportunity to join a Wildlife Alliance Ranger patrol in the morning for an exploration of the dense Cambodian jungle. As part of the camp’s activities focused on participating in environmental protection, you can participate in setting up camera traps or collecting animal tracks on the trails.
