This exciting travel to Ha Giang, Cao Bang, and Lang Son in Vietnam takes you through the stunning terrain and unique ethnic minority cultures of northern Vietnam, making it an ideal choice for photographers.
Our driver and tour guide will take you up from your hotel after breakfast. Drive to Ha Giang, a region in Vietnam’s far north.
Your path will take you through rugged terrain and breathtaking surroundings. When you arrive at Tuyen Quang, you’ll see the 15th-century Mac Dynasty Citadel and a surrounding market. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll travel to a little village in Ha Giang to stay at the Thanh Ha Lodge. You’ll arrive and check in, with time to relax in a hot spring water pool or explore the local tranquil towns.
After breakfast, you’ll go to the little villages of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, and Dong Van, which are among the most scenic in Vietnam’s northern tip.
Following lunch, a scenic route will take you to the Ma Li Leng Pass, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nho Que River and the wonderful sightseeing of this vast limestone mountain range and perpendicular rock walls, which gives one a sense of adventure while being lost in the rocky highlands. You could see one of the northeast’s spectacular sunsets. Finally, after a long day, you’ll arrive in the late afternoon at Meo Vac, where you’ll spend the night.
After breakfast and a quick visit to Meo Vac’s local market, you’ll take a different picturesque route back to Yen Minh and then to Bac Me in Cao Bang Province.
Lunch will be provided for you at a local restaurant in Quan Ba Town. You’ll return to Ha Giang and then to Bac Me, arriving in the afternoon.
After settling into your hotel, you could like to visit a neighboring Tay ethnic minority community on the outskirts of town to discover how the locals live.
A morning trip will take you via three mountain passes. The view is breathtaking, and the route runs along the mountain slopes. You’ll stop for lunch in a small town before arriving in Cao Bang town in the afternoon to check into a hotel.
After breakfast, you’ll travel 85 kilometers from Cao Bang to the Ban Gioc Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border, passing through beautiful countryside along the way.
Ban Gioc is one of Vietnam’s largest and arguably most stunning waterfalls. After a picnic lunch, you’ll explore Nguom Ngao, one of the area’s biggest caverns. It contains several intriguing stalactite forms and formations. You’ll then return to Cao Bang with time to rest before supper and your overnight stay.
