You will have the opportunity to stop at ethnic minority towns and markets as well as see awe-inspiring waterfalls and stunning tiered rice terraces during your journey of this adventure tour through the distinctive mountainous terrain of north-eastern Vietnam in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. This journey will take place while you are traveling through the mountainous terrain of north-eastern Vietnam. Before setting sail on Ha Long Bay and passing through the nation’s capital city, Hanoi, all of this takes place.
Our driver and tour guide will take you up from your hotel after breakfast. The province of Ha Giang is located in northern Vietnam. Your path will traverse rugged terrain and breathtaking vistas. Upon arriving in Tuyen Quang, you will see the Mac Dynasty Citadel from the 15th century and a local market.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will make your way to a little village in Ha Giang where you will spend your first night. You will arrive and check in with plenty time to unwind in a hot spring pool or explore the tranquil towns around.
After breakfast, you will go to Quan Ba, Yen Minh, and Dong Van, three of the most scenic villages in northern Vietnam, to explore their little populations.
After lunch, a picturesque path will lead you to the Ma Li Leng Pass, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nho Que River and great viewing of this large limestone mountain range and vertical walls of rock, which give one a sense of being lost in the rocky highlands. You may see a breathtaking northeastern sunset. After an eventful day, you will arrive to Meo Vac late in the afternoon, where you will spend the night.
After breakfast and a quick visit to the Meo Vac local market, you will take a different picturesque route back to Yen Minh and then to Bac Me in Cao Bang Province.
Your lunch will be organized at a local Quan Ba Town restaurant. From there, you will return to Ha Giang before landing in Bac Me in the afternoon. After settling into your lodging, you may like to visit a neighboring Tay ethnic minority community on the outskirts of the city to see the locals’ everyday activities.
The morning journey will include three mountain passes. The landscape is breathtaking, and the route hugs the edges of the mountains. You will take lunch in a small village before arriving in Cao Bang in the afternoon to check into your hotel.
You will visit the Ban Gioc Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border, 85 kilometers from Cao Bang, following a scenic route after breakfast. Ban Gioc is one of Vietnam’s biggest and maybe most stunning waterfalls.
After a picnic lunch, you will explore one of the biggest caverns in the region, Nguom Ngao. It contains several intriguing stalactite types and formations. You will then return to Cao Bang and have time to rest before supper and your overnight stay.
Today, you will explore Lang Son, Vietnam’s gateway to China and an old castle that played a crucial part in the Sino-French War. On the road to Lang Son, stop by rural minority villages to snap photographs as mementos and to soak in some of Vietnam’s most breathtaking and ancient landscapes.
Arrive in Lang Son and explore Tam Thanh Cave and Nhi Nhi Cave before entering the limestone highlands. Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will be driven to Halong City, where you will check into your hotel and enjoy some free time.
Enjoy the morning’s fresh air and free leisure; at noon, our personnel in Ha Long will greet you aboard a junk with a complimentary drink and help you settle into your cabin. At 13:00, a three-and-a-half-hour cruise on Ha Long Bay begins, visiting Mat Qui (Monsters’ face) islet, But Moc islet, and Cap De islet, as well as Trong (Drum) and Trinh Nu caverns and a floating fishing community to get insight into a distinctive way of life.
From 16:40 to 17:30, explore Luon cave and have enough time for swimming and sunbathing. Savour a lovely sunset supper and relax beneath the starlit sky before retiring to the coziness of your cabin.
Early risers may enjoy a glimpse of the sceneries of Ha Long Bay with a cup of tea or coffee and some fresh fruit. From the junk’s top deck, the spectacular grandeur of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear ocean will astound you.
The silence is rather unnerving; you can hear birds singing and cicadas chirping ashore, along with the soft lapping of the waves against the boat; the ideal accompaniment to the fresh air and mild breezes. Explore the Sung Sot (Amazing) cave for one hour, then swim and rest at Titop beach before returning to the mainland at 09:30 with a breakfast buffet from 10:30 to 11:30. Return to the port around midday, then drive back to Hanoi, arriving at about 16:00. Check into a hotel to unwind.
After breakfast at the hotel, begin your city tour at the Ho Chi Minh complex, where you will see the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the One-Pillar Pagoda, and the Tran Quoc pagoda. Continue with a visit to Vietnam’s earliest university, the Temple of Literature, which was founded in 1076, and then eat lunch at one of Hanoi’s renowned restaurants.
Visit the Museum of Ethnology in the afternoon, followed by a traditional cyclo ride through the Old Quarter, a stop at Dong Xuan market, and a water puppet performance before dinner.
The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the city until your transport to the airport for your departure flight.
