In the morning, meet your guide and head to a nearby pier for a scenic long-tail boat ride down the Chao Phraya River.

Next, come and see the Grand Palace lit up in full glory. This is also a great time to head inside Wat Pho temple, which now is blissfully quiet. The final stop of the evening is the 24-hour flower market, and down the backstreets to experience the dynamic of Bangkok after night falls.

On the fourth of your 8 days Thailand tour, you’ll travel around an hour to the North of the city by car to Bang Pa-In, visit Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, the Gothic-inspired temple on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, then board the Thanatharee rice barge at Wat Kasatra Pier and enjoy a private lunch cruise, embrace the scenes of Wat Phanan Choeng, the Elephant Kraal Pavilion, and local life as you travel down the river.
Get down at Wat Kasatra Pier to explore the city of Ayutthaya, or now the Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of ancient palaces, temples, and statues, visit four of the most important temples: Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, Wat Mahathat, and Wat Chai Wattanaram, before return to Bangkok.
This evening, you’ll save lots of your holiday time with an overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai, the largest city in mountainous northern Thailand.

Wake up in Chiang Mai! Walk to San Kamphaeng Road, known as the “Handicraft Highway”. In the evening, come to the Night Bazaar on Chang Klan Road to check out crafts, taste all different sorts of street food, and get blended in with the crowd as people make their way from one stall to another.
If you still got time, visit San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, located about an hour’s drive from the city center, to take a mineral bath. Or, for a more exciting choice, head to Bua Tong National Park (about two hours from Chiang Mai’s center) to hike in the jungle and climb the “sticky waterfalls”.

Coming to the last days of your 8 days journey in Thailand, today, you’ll travel about an hour by car to the Happy Elephant Home, a sanctuary for rescued elephants. Have a welcome drink and then join in to help with feeding and bathing for the elephants
After a traditional Thai lunch, you’ll go swimming in the on-site swimming pool and soak up the mountain views. Then, take a mud bath with the elephants, and walk with them to the Mae Taeng River, where you can wash, swim, and play with them some more before returning to the camp.
At the end of the day, you’ll transfer back to Chiang Mai.

Today, drive to Chiang Rai. Make a short stop at Mae Kachan Hot Springs for a short break and see how the hot water shoots from underground high into the air, then head to Wat Rong Khun, known as the White Temple.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Maesai, a border town between Thailand and Myanmar. Then continue to the Golden Triangle area. Stop at Sop Ruak village, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet, for an opportunity to gaze out over multiple countries.
