This 12-day Myanmar & Thailand tour will take you from the forest of Myanmar and end in the mountains of Thailand. You will learn about the local crafts and the stories in Tanintharyi Museum, and visit villages and rubber plantations, betel nuts, and dried fish. Then, explore the beautiful Mergui Archipelago before heading to Ranong Pier in Thailand, where you can see the Seaside Retreat Elephant Camp and the Similan Islands.
Land in Yangon and head to Mawlamyine. Once arrived, you will travel to the Queen Sein Don Monastery and admire the detailed wooden carvings, and watch the sunset on top of a hill for the views of Thanlwin River and the nearby islands.

After breakfast, you will head to Thanbyuzayat, the starting point of the Death Railway that connects Myanmar to Thailand. Continue to Ye, take a break at Banana Mountain and take in the view over the valley.

Have a break at the hotel before going out and exploring the town. If still got time, you can visit the local gold market (usually closed on Sundays). Watch the sunset by the river, then have dinner at a local restaurant.

Continue your 12 days Myanmar Thailand discovery with a journey across the mountain to reach Dawei. Check in at your hotel, rest, and then visit the Tanintharyi Museum. Later, walk along Dawei’s riverfront and visit the local night market.

Start today’s trip with a visit to Strand Road Market and a cashew nut family business. Next, travel outside Dawei to San Maria Beach near the rubber plantations, the main product in the area, and see the production of white rubber sheets. You will also visit and experience the betel nut and dried fish business while traveling across many fishing villages.
Tizi Beach
Have a picnic lunch on the beach near Myawyik Pagoda, which can be reached from the mainland by a bridge. Enjoy the beach and beautiful landscapes of San Maria Beach and Maungmagan Beach in the afternoon.

Today you will travel south to many remote beaches, and head to a fishing village early in the morning to immerse in the bustling atmosphere.
Horseshoe Bay
Walk up the mountain to a pagoda with views of Dawei River and Grandfathers Beach. Lunch break at a local restaurant, go through several villages to reach Grandfathers Beach on a motorbike. Another route that doesn’t include motorbike riding and hiking you can choose is to visit Shin Maw Pagoda, with a view of the ocean, it is one of the famous 9 Shin Pagodas. Take a break at Horse Shoe Bay on your way back to the hotel.

Wake up early for breakfast and go shopping or visit the market before catching your domestic flight to Kawthaung. A private driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel there. Enjoy the rest of the day the way you want.

A part of your 12 days Myanmar & Thailand excursion is visiting the beautiful Mergui Archipelago. Join with other travelers to cruise around hundreds of islands in the archipelago. The first stop is Cocks Comb Island, just off the coast of Kawthaung. Follow your guide in a swim through a natural tunnel to reach the island. Continue to Paradise Beach to explore the coral reefs. Before lunch on Paradise Island, you will stop by Dunkin Island and Tafook Island as well. In the afternoon, you will travel to St. Matthews Island or Burmese name Zar Dey Gyi Kyun, a great destination for snorkeling.

Return to Kawthaung later in the afternoon and relax for the rest of the day.

Today is your last day in Myanmar, after breakfast, your driver will take you to Kawthaung jetty for your travel to Ranong, Thailand. The journey might change depending on road conditions, weather conditions, and room vacancy. Arrived at Ranong Pier, transfer to your hotel in Khao Lak, check in and rest, or prepare for tomorrow’s journey.

A highlight of your time in Thailand is a trip to the Seaside Retreat Elephant Camp. You will learn about the habits of the elephants, then you will join in feeding and giving them a bath. After spending time with the elephants, you will come to see a conservation project protecting baby turtles in the Andaman Sea. Lunch with a Thai buffet.

Hop on a bamboo raft and glide through the jungle in the afternoon. Return to your hotel to relax in the evening.

Meet your guide early today to come to the Similan Islands before everyone else. You will spend a full-day tour on the islands swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing on the white sandy shores and crystal clear water.
