Ninh Binh, a city in the Red River Delta of Vietnam, located 56 miles (90 kilometers) from Hanoi. This Hanoi – Ninh Binh tour will cover the highlights of the province, including a visit to Bai Dinh Pagoda, the South East Asia’s largest Buddhist center, with hundreds of statues of various sizes, and Tam Coc, which appears to offer Halong-style views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as an exploration in local culture during a day. While there, enjoy the natural tourist attractions such as the primitive rain forest, mountains, hills, and coastal and river deltas.
Option 1: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc
7.45 – 8.30: We pick you up at your accommodation and drive you to Hoa Lu – Tam Coc as you take in the gorgeous countryside scenery.
10.30: After landing in Ninh Binh province, the tour brings you to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s Ancient Royal Capital. We will visit Dinh King and Le King temples.
Discovering the epic tales of these two Kings in Chinese Wars in the 10th century.
Following that, we travel to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu).
Have lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, you will board a bamboo boat rowed by locals down the Hoang Long River to explore Tam Coc (three caverns) along the route. Three large caves that you travel through offer a momentary respite from the stifling summer sun. It takes around two hours to go up and down the river, and along the trip, you may see local fishermen, village life along the river, and, of course, Tam Coc’s famed limestone karst structures.
It is a good option if you enjoy riding. You will have an hour to tour actual communities and stunning scenery by bicycle (from Restaurant).
16.00: We return to Ha Noi via vehicle.
18.30: We arrive Ha Noi and finish the tour.
Option 2: Hanoi – Bai Dinh Pagoda – Trang An
8h00: Our tour guide and car pick up at your address to depart for Ninh Binh province (120 Kms).
10:20: Arrive at the Buddha Prayer Place at Bai Dinh Pagoda, Vietnam’s largest pagoda with 500 La Han sculptures, the largest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with a height of 10 meters and a weight of 100 tons.
Lunch at a small restaurant with various local specialties including goat meat with elderberry, pig storage vessel…
13:00: Depart to visit Trang An tourist attraction, take boat trip to visit cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, see scenery of mountain and rivers – a Ha Long on land of Ninh Binh.
16:00: Getting on the car return to Hanoi.
18h00: Arrival Hanoi, drop at hotel then finish our trip.
Option 3: Hanoi – Mua Cave – Tam Coc
7.30 – 8.00: You will be picked up at your hotel and transfer to Ninh Binh.
10.00: After 2-hour drive, we reach Mua Cave for a healthy exercise of hiking up steps by steps to the peak of the mountain in Mua cave area. You can climb 486 steps at Hang Mua for panoramic views.
12.30: Have lunch in local restaurant with some local special dishes.
13.15 – 13.30: Proceed to Tam Coc Harbor for a scenic rowing boat trip on Ngo Dong River. You will have a pleasant journey viewing of limestone pillars & rice fields on both sides of the river, and sneaking through three natural caves of beautifully sparkling stalactites hanging down from the ceiling.
16.00: Getting on the car return to Hanoi.
18h00: Arrival Hanoi, drop at hotel then finish our trip.
