Detailed Itinerary

In the Morning:

8.00: Our driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a full-day tour of the city.

Our journey will begin with a 1-hour cyclo (xích lô) tour around Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter of Hanoi. You can visit some of the ancient district’s 36 streets, which are named by the item produced and sold on each street, such as sugar, bamboo, leather, or silver, etc. Even if some of the streets’ names have changed, many of them retain their original characteristics.

9.15: Continue the journey to Hoa Lo Prison. Hoa Lo Prison, known to American prisoners of war as “Hanoi Hilton”, was a prison in Vietnam that was used by the French colonialists for political prisoners and then by North Vietnam for POWs during the Vietnam War.

After that, we will go to the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, Vietnam’s oldest university, which was manufactured in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved structures provide a tranquil glance into Vietnam’s history.

We will stop at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to observe the structure from the outside. Uncle Ho’s ultimate resting place has architectural and historical significance that you may appreciate.

After lunch, we will visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Documents, antiquities, and photographs depicting the culture and ceremonies of numerous ethnic groups from Vietnam’s North to South are on display in the museum. It’s particularly famous for its outdoor display area, where visitors can see authentic houses or graves of some of Vietnam’s minority communities.

We will arrive at 4 p.m. for a water puppet show at Thang Long Water Puppet Theater. Water puppetry is a classic stage art of Vietnamese culture, depicting Vietnam’s wet-rice civilization and demonstrating people’s intelligence and creativity. Around 5.30 p.m., the performance will end.

Option 2: Van Phuc Silk Village

To go to Van Phuc Silk Village, we will drive around 15 kilometers northwest of Hanoi. Upon arrival, you have a fantastic chance to visit numerous silk stores and shop for silk items at reasonable prices. You may also see most of the procedures involved in the manufacturing of handmade silk, including spinning, gluing, weaving, and finishing. Deep within the village, we may experience the old landscape of a northern Vietnamese village with community homes, wells, lotus ponds, ancient banyan trees, and a people’s market, as well as modernized buildings.

We will have time to shop before returning to your hotel in Hanoi.

Option 3: Bat Trang Ceramic Village

We will visit Bat Trang Ceramic Village. It takes around 45 minutes to go down the Red River to reach the Bat Trang pottery village. You will go throughout the village, visiting families who have ceramic workshops. See how the people find mud, build potteries, and design on them… Aside from the various ceramic establishments along the road in the town, travelers may visit Bat Trang Pottery Market and directly produce pottery goods.

Return to Hanoi at 6 p.m. Trip comes to an end.

Option 4: Duong Lam Ancient Village

Duong Lam Ancient Village

Duong Lam ancient village in Son Tay province is roughly 50 kilometers from Hanoi. Duong Lam is a mainly agricultural hamlet in the Northern Red River Delta. When we arrive, we go down the village way to the Mong Phu temple, which is devoted to national heroes, as well as King Ngo Quyen and King Phung Hung temples.

Stop at Tay Phuong Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s original pagodas, on the way back to Hanoi. Take in Tay Phuong’s stunning architecture and one-of-a-kind sculptures, such as the dragons and devils carved into the wooden ceiling.

Return to Hanoi at 6 p.m. End of trip.
