Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital city, is one of the most ancient capitals in the world, where travelers can find well-preserved colonial buildings, ancient pagodas, and unique museums within the city center. A great walking destination, this French-colonial city is also famous for its mouth-watering cuisine, vibrant nightlife, and highly qualified handicrafts, as well as a multi-cultural community that’s made up of French, Chinese, and Russian influences.
8.30 AM: Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh Stilt House and One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. The structure has become an important symbol of Hanoi’s history and culture. Then, continue to Tran Quoc Pagoda at West Lake (One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam).
Then, visit The Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s long-lasting history.

PM: After lunch, continue your Hanoi full-day city tour to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups of Vietnam. Here, you can admire an abundance of documents, antiques, and photos of the culture and rites of several ethnic communities from north to south of Vietnam. This museum is also well-known for its outdoor exhibition area, where you can see real houses or tombs of some minor groups in Vietnam.
End of the full-day Hanoi city tour, you will return to your hotel at Hanoi Old Quarter and be free to discover the area.
