The Mekong Delta in 3 Days is filled with the vibrant color of the vast rice fields and shady orchards mixed with the alluvial red color of the Mekong Delta River, with thousands of canals covering the area. In this 3-day Mekong Delta tour, you can visit the famous destinations, including Ben Tre and Long Xuyen. Then, you will discover the local culture, customs, and habits of southern Vietnam and the most unique local cuisine of the river region.
The driver will pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to Ben Tre, a beautiful area of the Mekong Delta, famous for its coconut candy making.
Arrive at Hung Vuong Pier, take a boat tour of the Ben Tre River, and learn about the daily life in the area. You will continue along the canal to Nhon Thanh River village to taste fresh fruits. Riding a bicycle (or doo doo) on the path through the village, enjoying the scenery of coconut trees, rice fields, and vegetable gardens.

The village will provide lunch with elephant ear fish. A short walk will provide a deeper understanding of local life. Then take a boat ride on the small canal shaded by wild palm trees. Disembark at Ben Tre for a one-hour transfer to Cai Lay. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the host family. You will participate in the preparation of Banh Xeo Nam Bo (a traditional dish of the region) with your host.

You will have breakfast at the homestay and enjoy a bike ride (1-1.5 hours) on the way from Dong Hoa to Tam Binh, passing by durian, sapota, and longan gardens. You can meet the locals and visit the local rural market. Return to the homestay to rest. (Extension: Walk along the trail with locals for 1 hour and bike to Ngu Hiep Island, where the Mekong River alluvial deposits form a fertile garden. Kien An Cung pagoda – Sa Dec
Transfer to Long Xuyen via Sa Dec, where you will visit Kien An Cung Pagoda, followed by Huynh Thuy Le’s house, excerpted from Margaret Duras’ novel “Lover”. You will discover a local market in Sa Dec, where there are abundant fruits, vegetables, and fish. Continue to Long Xuyen and visit Cao Dai Temple and a crocodile farm on the way.
Overnight in Long Xuyen.

Transfer to Long Xuyen floating market and floating village, located on a small tributary of the Me Kong River, full of vitality and authenticity. You will learn about the daily activities of the locals and take a boat tour of Cu Lao Ong Ho, where there is a small museum dedicated to our famous President Ton Duc Thang. Then, you will ride a bicycle on the island and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
Long Xuyen Floating Market
Return to Ho Chi Minh City and check in at the hotel later in the afternoon.
