This Bac Ninh day tour brings you a completely different experience of the ancient beauty of Vietnam’s countryside. Bac Ninh is an ancient land, full of myths, legends, poems, and rhymes, and especially known as the land of traditional folk singing (Quan ho). Visiting Bac Ninh, you can indulge in the unique rustic scenic countryside of Vietnam and discover many historical and religious tourist attractions such as scenic Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb, and traditional villages such as Dong Ho painting village.
8:30 AM: Your private driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to Bac Ninh, the enchanting land known for its traditional folk music (Quan ho) in Northern Vietnam. Your Bac Ninh day tour will start at But Thap Pagoda, a Buddhist relic showcasing the distinctive architecture of the Le Trung Hung period. This pagoda houses 32 recently announced national treasures dating back to 2012.
Then, you’ll visit a local residence near But Thap Pagoda, where you can savor a refreshing cup of green tea. Afterward, hop on a bike and embark on a picturesque cycling journey along the scenic banks of the serene Duong River. You’ll pass by beautiful dike slopes, and endless green mulberry fields, and breathe in the crisp, fresh air. If you visit from September to October, you’ll be treated to the breathtaking sight of blooming green mustard fields, painting the landscape in vibrant yellow hues.
As we continue, we’ll make a stop at A Lu and Dai Dong Thanh commune to visit Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb, who was the founder of Vietnam’s first-ever government.
Afterward, enjoy a 5-kilometer bike ride to Dong Ho painting village. Relax and enjoy a refreshing drink at the home of Nguyen Dang Che, a local artist who will share the rich history and traditions of the craftsmen in the village. A delightful lunch will be served at a local family’s home in Bac Ninh.
In the afternoon, delve deeper into the village’s history and witness the intricate process of creating Dong Ho paintings, a renowned Vietnamese traditional art form crafted by the skilled hands of local farmers. Take a leisurely stroll around Dong Ho Painting Village to observe the daily lives of the talented craftsmen.
3:30 PM: You’ll board the car/bus to return to Hanoi. On our way, we’ll make a stop at Chua Dau (Mulberry Pagoda), the oldest pagoda in Vietnam, built between 187 and 266 BC. Marvel at its numerous worship rooms and the imposing silhouette of the nine-story tower overlooking the Dau River.
4:30 PM: The Bac Ninh day tour will come to a close as we drop you off at your hotel, leaving you with cherished memories of the beautiful Bac Ninh region.
