1 Day Hiking the Great Wall of China in Jinshanling

8:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Your personal guide will greet you in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00 am. If you prefer to start from the airport or train station, we can make arrangements for a convenient pick-up.

The Great Wall of China – Jinshanling section

A comfortable vehicle will take you to the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall. The journey from Beijing to Jinshanling takes approximately 2 and a half hours.

10:30 AM: Begin the Jinshanling 1 day tour with your ascent of the wall through an unrepaired watchtower known as Houchuankou. As you start your hike, you will encounter ancient watchtowers in various states of disrepair and sections of the wall that remain unrestored, offering a glimpse into its historical past.

Then, stop to admire the breathtaking panoramic view from one of the highest points you’ll reach during the day, where the Great Wall stretches into the horizon.

Continue along the path and witness the meticulously restored portion of the wall, adorned with numerous well-preserved watchtowers of diverse architectural styles.

Upon reaching Zhuangdaokou, you will descend from the wall.

1:30 PM – 2:30 PM: At the entrance to Jinshanling, you’ll find a charming local restaurant offering a selection of traditional dishes. Your guide will assist you in choosing dishes for lunch according to your preferences.

2:30 PM – 5:00 PM: The return journey to your hotel in Beijing typically takes around 2 and a half hours. At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will ensure your safe transfer back. If you have a flight or train to catch after the tour, we are more than happy to assist you with the necessary arrangements.
